What is the age limit for snorkeling?
There are no legal age limits for snorkeling. We have found that age 5 or 6 is a good age to learn the basics of snorkeling, however, it’s entirely up to individuals to make the best choice for their family.
What are some good items to bring on the drive to Key West?
Here are some good things to bring to keep you comfortable on the trip: a smartphone, tablet computer, MP3 player, books, magazines, camera, snacks, sleeping shades, and a travel pillow.
I've never snorkeled before, will I be OK?

How long does it take to drive to Key West?
The road trip takes about 4 hours. Driving the Overseas Highway is a one-of-a-kind experience. You will see some of the most spectacular scenery in the State. You will literally be driving right over the ocean and across a thin chain of islands and bridges, including the famous 7-Mile Bridge. These bridges connect 34 islands that make up the Florida Keys.
How do people dress in Key West?
Key West is super casual. A sundress for ladies and khaki shorts for the gets is as dressed up as anyone usually gets.
Do we stop on the way to Key West?
It depends. If passengers wish to take a break, we will stop at the McDonalds in Tavernier at approximately 9:00 AM. There is also a convince store and a grocery store in the same vicinity.
Can we use our own snorkeling gear?
The snorkel gear we use on The Key West Express tours is high quality and for your protection, the equipment is sanitized after each use. However, if you feel more comfortable using your own snorkeling equipment, feel free to bring it on the tour. Please note, there is no discount for providing your own equipment and we can’t be responsible for any lost or damaged items.
Can I go snorkeling if I cannot swim?
Yes, this is possible, as long as you are comfortable going into the water. All The Key West Express snorkeling tours adhere to strict safety regulations and have been designed to be enjoyed by all.

You will be wearing a flotation device at all times.
On many tours, there is a stairway from the boat into the water so you won’t have to “jump” in!
